Note 		In his Will Joseph Arden gave Loudwater Estate, Rickmansworth, together with the mansion house, furniture, fixtures and fittings, plus £25,000 to his grandson, Henry William Birch. The residue of his property went to his daughter, Julia Birch, her husband and children. He stated that his two sons and two daughters are suitably and amply provided for, by the Wills of their grandparents and also by settlement. John William Birch must have purchased Rickmansworth Park Estate from Mary Ann Arden, ‎(Joseph's wife)‎, in the October of 1879. -- AA
